2018 Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Cooperation Forum was held in Xuchang on November 2nd. Senior officials and executives attending the opening ceremony include: Mr. Liu Wei, vice governor of Henan Provincial People’s Government, Mr. Xin Renzhou, consultant of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Rudolf Scharping, president of RSBK. The event witnessed some progress Xuchang has made in  integrating the Belt and Road Initiatives and Industry 4.0, following the 6th Sino-German Symposium on urbanization, which was held in Xuchang on October 23 and 24, 2018.

Up to now, Xuchang has signed 55 MOUs with German companies and government, of which 16 projects have been put into operation. Xuchang has become the 8th Sino-German Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Cooperation Zone in China, with the approval of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in March, 2018.
